Congress was not always this partisan. Sure, Democrats and Republicans have had core principles on which they traditionally stood, but good representatives used to work together toward practical solutions in the interest of all Americans.

This memorial day weekend, we should honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, for freedom cannot survive without the brave soldiers that defend it. And as we honor the fallen, we should internalize the debt we owe them in both our memory and our foreign policy.

I am running for Congress because this district should not be beholden to Washington, DC outsiders so that they will show up in the district two weeks before the election and hold a lavish fundraiser.

We need to make sure the folks of age now and our future seniors have access to Social Security. This is not an issue that should be used as a political football. I would not want to privatize it because, if it does not work out, the government will have to be there to pick [...]

We need to make the access and availability of prescription drugs quicker and less expensive. We all know someone with a sickness and, as a country, we need to make a commitment to provide those in need with drugs and services so they can get better.

We have to understand that the federal government should not have any role in dictating what a local school does. The federal government probably messed things up more than anything as far as education goes.

I’m different from Republicans and Democrats because I grew up right in the Central Valley and my vote will belong to no one but the people. It is an honorable experience to run for office in your hometown.

There is no difference between the Republicans and Democrats. No matter how well intentioned, the interest of the parties are always put ahead of the interest of the people. The Central Valley should be treated equally to cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles. I will make sure we are at the negotiation table to protect the interests of the Central Valley.

Of course America can make it. This is a unique country with amazing people. But, we need to end the partisanship that is bringing down this great country if we are going to secure a bright future for our youth.

Service to the people that elect you is the primary job of any representative. I will make sure that my office helps you find out the answers to any problem. We work for you.
